I moved into my new place in central Wellington today. Thanks to Paul for the transport services. It’s a good place, in a greal location. I could hardly be closer to work. Since it’s not the type of job that could take advantage and drag me in all hours, it’s good to be close .
I gave this blog a new look a couple of days ago. Thoughts?
This weekend I went up North on a dual-purpose trip: visiting home for the weekend and visiting the US Consulate on Tuesday morning to get my H1B visa.
I took some more nice photos of Waipu. I’ll upload some tonight and then there’ll be a link: here. It was good to see everyone again. Judy and Geoff got back from their trip on Saturday, and they had many tales to tell of Morocco, Spain, France, and the UK. Oompah and Dad are both doing well too. A tree fell and crushed the front of the pigeon loft, but the main structure is OK and no pigeons were harmed.
The visa interview wasn’t as detailed as I expected. They didn’t need any of my supoorting documentation, just my certification from the Department of Labor and scans of my fingerprints. The interview was just a very short chat about some of the content already in the documents. Their turnaround time was much faster than I thought it would be too… the courier brought my passport back to me today. So…
